Bookkeeping/Payroll

A well-established labor contracting company located in the heart of Central California, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven bookkeeping/payroll assistant to join its team. This person will be responsible of assuring payroll gets done on a timely manner and reports any inquiries to the payroll manager. This position involves, but it is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:



Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of time sheets
  • Ensures payroll received is within the company standards
  • Reviews and enters applications for new hires
  • Verifies EDD on a timely manner
  • Produces employment letters as requested.
  • Files accordingly
  • Ensures mail is distributed timely to the correspondent people
  • Answer multiple phone lines.




Skills and Specifications

We are seeking creative, intelligent, and enthusiastic payroll assistant. In this position we require that the candidate has good communication skills, while keeping sensitive information confidential. The candidate must be proficient in math, excel skills, as well as other office software. The bookkeeping/payroll assistant is to be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. Having 10 key typing skills is a plus. Bilingual with an ag background is preferred.
