Part Time, Evening & Weekend Schedules
Madison Square Garden
The Madison Square Garden Company is seeking customer focused candidates to work live events at Madison Square Garden, the World's Most Famous Arena. Candidates must be 18 years of age, authorized to work in the United States, and committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere and memorable guest experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining high sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils
* Ensuring that the dishwashing area along with the entire kitchen/s are maintained and cleaned to the highest standards
* Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glasses, tableware and other cooking utensils and placing them in racks to send through dish machine
* Sorting and stacking clean dishes
* Sweeping and mopping floors
* Filling and emptying soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
* Cleaning the kitchen refrigerators, ceiling air vents and others
* Wiping up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean
* Lifting and carrying racks of dishes, glassware and other utensils
* Providing general assistance to cooks and chefs
The ideal candidate will have previous restaurant or dishwasher experience, along with a strong work ethic and general knowledge of the NYC Board of Health Food Protection rules and regulations. Requires heavy lifting of up to 80lbs, working on your feet for long periods of time, and knowledge of workplace safety procedures. Must be available to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays. Bilingual a plus.
