Patient Services Coordinator

Our client is looking for a Patient Service Coordinator for their office. If you are interested and meet the qualifications, please submit your resume.

Responsiblities:

-Responsbile for sitting at the front desk and checking in patients (alongside 2 other patient services coordinators)
-Answer phone calls and assist in scheduling patients for fittings/orientations
-Coordinate with referral sources to collect documentation so patients can see the practioners
-Utilize Patient Management System to create new patient accounts, enter patient demographics, record copies of insurance cards and photo IDs for patients, document patient interactions, document proof of delivery to patient, verify that bills have been sent
-Room patients
-review patient financial responsibility after appointment
-Maintain a clean work environment to present a professional workplace
-Determine if primary or secondary insurance should be billed

Qualifications:

1. In person and/or over the phone customer service
2. 1+ year experience in a healthcare environment
3. Understanding of medical reimbursement
4. Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding (don't have to be a coder, but need to understand what they are)
5. Understanding of how insurance is billed
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize
7. Detail oriented, maintain accuracy
8. Ability to input/edit information on computer system (Patient Management System)
