Laboratory Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Laboratory experience in a R&D environment
- Scientific research experience
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.
- Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
- Function as a part of a research and development team, utilizing your skills to setup, monitor and operate extruders, molding machines, presses, mills, etc. ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
- Conduct routine research laboratory activities and operate small scale production equipment in support of research and development.
- Identify and suggest improvement methods and have the ability to troubleshoot when unexpected results occur.
- Maintain safety and quality standards at all times and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
- Document findings and effectively communicate results.
