Responsibilities
•Participate in trainings:
•August-September 2015: The initial training on child outcome assessments will be conducted in the summer of 2015. This first training will focus on general data collection procedures and expectations for working with our target population (2 days).
•December 2015- January 2016: The second training, focused on the program quality observation protocols (CLASS – 2 days and ECRES-R and ITERS-R – 3 days)
•March 2016: A refresher on the child outcome assessments will be conducted in spring 2015.

•From September 2015-May 2016, administer direct-child assessments and teacher-report assessments of children’s development, following AIR’s protocols and specification (correct administration of the assessments will be covered during training, so prior knowledge is not necessary; previous or current certification of CLASS and ECRES-R or ITERS-R, preferred)
•Maintain organized computer-based files and records (a secure computer will be provided on loan)
•Strictly adhere to AIR’s and the school district’s procedures to protect the privacy of children and families
•Submit completed project data in a timely manner
•Maintain contact with AIR’s data collection coordinator and other project team members in a timely and professional manner
•Be prepared to notify AIR promptly regarding any scheduling or data collection issues


Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, psychology or related field
•Experience engaging with children from a variety of backgrounds
•Access to adequate transportation to visit schools throughout Illinois and participate in training and supervisory check-ins
•Available between 8am and 3 pm weekdays; at least 20 hours a week from September 2015-May 2016
•Regularly available via email and telephone
•Reliable and detailed oriented
•Willing to submit to background check, including fingerprinting (AIR will cover the cost)
•Previous or current certification of CLASS and ECRES-R or ITERS-R, preferred


Pay for this position begins at $15 per hour but will vary based on experience. Mileage will be reimbursed at $.57 per mile.
