A successful Financial Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, and 2+ years of related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA, MS-Finance, or Master's in another quantitative field a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with some knowledge of database basics (e.g. SQL, MS Access) helpful
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, with proficiency in mathematical and financial concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, statistics, probabilities, algebraic expressions, etc.) and ability to define problems, seek and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Well developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract or concrete variables
  • Experience with or ability to work in a fast paced, high throughput environment, and excellent teamwork skills with ability to establish productive working relationships with other departments and personnel

This Financial Analyst position falls within our Customer Service Center (CSC) Finance Team, within CSC Operations which support our 25 call centers.  The Financial Analyst will be responsible for planning, design and implementation of financial and operational cost analyses and models, identifying trends, and recommending and implementing methods for improvement. Additional responsibilities may include budgeting and forecasting, and long term strategic planning support.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Performs financial and strategic analyses, in collaboration with CSC management, to improve performance for all CSC call centers and local CSC operations
  • Utilizes MS Excel and other modeling tools to generate financial reports and trend analyses
  • Works with the CSC Finance team to complete CSC budget through development and design of budget models and interaction with CSC management
  • Creates and delivers financial presentations to CSC management
  • Develops financial reports to monitor key metrics; interprets financial results and seeks out areas of concern and/or opportunity
  • Supports, maintains designs, develops, and trouble-shoots process to improve, advance, or simplify data gathering and reporting and analytics
