Premium Fashion Brand Firm has an immediate need for an experienced Payroll/HR Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a quick-thinking and numbers-savvy professional to become part of a well-known brand. As the Payroll/HR Assistant, you must be ready and willing to wear many hats and shift priorities quickly and smoothly. In this multifaceted role, you will manage bi-weekly payroll runs for a large firm and collaborate with the Accounting and Human Resources teams. A detail-oriented and analytical-minded professional will thrive in this dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
* Manage time and attendance, as well as complete cycle of the payroll process and scheduled payroll cycles
* Prepare, coordinate and meet bi-weekly deadlines, ensuring that all hours are entered into the system
* Assist with Human Resources functions, including recruiting, benefits, employee relations
* Stay up to date on compliance regulations with state and federal wage and hour laws, as well as tax filings
* Work with HR to assist with implementation, testing, maintenance and security
* Manage any audits, reconciliations and reporting as needed
Requirements:
* Certified Payroll Professional designation is strongly preferred
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting
* At least 3 years of payroll/accounting experience, with expert knowledge of Payroll software, such as ADP PayExpert and eZLabor Manager
* A sharp eye for details with strong execution and follow-through on assignments; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Exhibits the highest level of professionalism and integrity with regard to handling confidential and sensitive information
* Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills
* Superior verbal and written communication skills
* Displays the highest standard of customer service and outstanding problem-solving skills
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word
* Tech savvy and able to use and learn software easily; knowledge of 10-key is ideal
