Position Summary:


 


We are seeking a Business Analyst Consultant for our Minnetonka, MN location to produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available healthcare analytics information sources. Synthesize current healthcare business intelligence and trend data to support recommendations for action. Collect business intelligence data. Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications. Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Identify or monitor current and potential healthcare industry customers, using business intelligence tools. Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods. Conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting relevant healthcare industry information for operational and business planning. Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models and supports the development of effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of healthcare data and healthcare business processes. This position will be positioned to work with regional growth officers and product leadership to increase UHC membership and revenue across a wide spectrum of business questions, such as product performance, UHC and competitive membership and group trends, activity, and forecasting as well as broker and channel issues. Involved with the introduction of new retail model/consumer-focused healthcare analytic techniques and approaches that will enhance our understanding and insight. Develop innovative analytical approaches; and acquire and leverage expertise in their assigned region. Use SAS/Base, SAS/Macros, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS/STAT, SAS/Access, SAS/Graph, SAS/SQL, SAS/ODS on UNIX and Windows platforms. Statistical analysis, report writing and presentation of research results. Develop analytical approaches to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize business data to provide usable information.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 5 years related, progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently
  • Must have demonstrated experience with (1) SAS/Base, SAS/Macros, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS/STAT, SAS/Access, SAS/Graph, SAS/SQL, SAS/ODS on UNIX and Windows platforms; (2) report writing and presentation of research results; and (3) developing analytical approaches to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize business data
