Automation Technician

Aerotek is currently recruiting for an Automation Technician with one of our clients in Morristown, TN. Starting pay will be $20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience. Client will consider more starting pay with exceptional experience. This position works 12 hour shifts.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience/education:

* Thorough knowledge of industrial automation and controllers.
* Ability to program, troubleshoot, and adjust Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
* Ability to effectively use electrical instruments such as volt/ohm meter.
* Understanding of AC/DC electrical control circuits.
* Understanding of industrial electronic controls such as frequency drives and PLC's.
* Basic metal working skills.
* Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
* Working knowledge of pneumatic circuits and equipment.
* Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and equipment.
* Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
* High School Diploma or GED
* Industrial Maintenance/Engineering Technology Diploma/Degree
* A minimum of 5 years experience programming PLC's is required.

This position is responsible for controls and PLC programming for all machinery within the manufacturing facility however they majority of work will be troubleshooting and repairing the manufacturing equipment.
