DISH Media Sales is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Advertising Operations Manager based in New York. Working to craft our operational convergence between digital and linear advertising, he/she will start up and manage a digital operations team, develop processes for ad insertion, trafficking, billing, onboarding of new partners, ad delivery for DishAnywhere, Sling TV, set-top-box applications, and 2nd screen companion content (Dish Explorer). Other platforms may be included as applications/outlets become available.
This person will work alongside multiple departments including Advanced TV, Sling TV Operations, Media Sales Operations, Viewer Measurement, Pricing & Inventory, Product Management and Engineering.
A successful Digital Advertising Operations Manager will have or be the following:
- 4+ years of digital/online ad operations experience a must.
- Bachelors or Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong experience with dynamic ad insertion, online, mobile and multi-platform advertising marketplaces.
- Understanding of digital measurement including Nielsen, Comscore, Omniture and Rentrak.
- Experience with Programmatic, Ad Network and Exchange marketplaces.
- Strong understanding of digital video players, formats such as HLS, HTML, XML, Flash and other rich media advertising formats. Detail oriented, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and execute under aggressive timelines
The Digital Advertising Operations Manager will be responsible for, at minimum, the following:
- Streamline and develop practices for digital, OTT and TV Everywhere ad delivery, insertion, ad tagging, and client data return.
- Build and manage a disciplined digital ad operations team.
- Oversee day to day operations, troubleshoot and initiate solutions to issues.
- Set up and manage relationships with programmatic partners, ad networks and other digital advertising partners. Onboard and oversee integration for new programmers, measurement suppliers and necessary ad sales partners.
- Oversee development of Yield Management and further monetization opportunities.
- Significant travel required.
