Quality Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

• Corrective Action
• Assure final product quality through development and implementation of First Article Inspection (FAI) and Operator Process Control Awareness (OPCA) plans
• Resolve corrective action requests involving customer issues
• Input data into the customer's electronic database pursuant to their prescribed format
• Implement 8D tools to resolve internal issues
• Recommend methods for improved utilization of resources
• Review quotes, purchase orders and sales orders submitted by customer service, for quality requirements
• Participate in nonconforming material (NCMR) investigations internally and externally
• Submit customer variation request documentation when required
• Prepare Quality Assurance activity information, in response to customer requests
• Use Failure and Analysis Tools to correct issues

QUALIFICATION:

• 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role and manufacturing environment
• Associate's degree in a technical discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches
• Experience GD&T dynamic testing and load testing
