Job Description: This is a delivery driver position responsible for the accurate and timely delivery and unloading of food products, restaurant supplies and other various items to customer locations located across the southeast. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. No OTR!
Essential Functions:
- Operate vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations
- Pick-up, deliver, and unload product within assigned route and time frame, notifying dispatch of any complications.
- Complete Department of Transportation logs, complying with state/federal hours of service requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Produce invoices and all other required documentation for each delivery location and obtain signatures for delivered goods
- Report all accidents and injuries
- Responsible for collecting money (cash or checks) when required and turning in collected funds daily
- Verify all case counts on pick-up and delivery
- All other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Must be 25+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess a valid CDL A
- Must have at least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Pass pre-employment testing (drug test, DOT physical, background evaluation)
- No more than 2 violations on MVR
- Ability to frequently lift 20-100lbs
- Ability to sit for 8+ hours in a vehicle
- Ability to meet all other minimum eligibility requirements outlined by our company and the Department of Transportation
