The IT Project Analyst/Estimator will join a team of project sizing and estimation specialists as part of the Software Estimation and Sizing Center of Excellence (FP CoE) to define, implement and support software project estimation methodologies within the organization. Software project estimates are created in early phases of the software development lifecycle using one of several estimation techniques including parametric estimation, estimate by comparison, and t-shirt size estimates. You will work closely with project managers, business partners, and application estimators to support them through the estimation activities and will also assist in setting up guidelines and processes within the organization and mentor other team members on estimation procedures and methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with the organizational process owners, project managers, and estimators to define and implement software project estimation tools, methodologies and processes at different phases of the development lifecycle
  
• Provide ongoing estimation support as a specialist and identify improvement opportunities in the estimation tools, methodologies, and processes
  
• Deliver estimation related training
  
• Assist in developing estimates for some of the projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  
• 5+ years of experience in IT
  
• Knowledge and experience with at least one parametric estimation tool (e.g., SEER-SEM and SLIM)
  
• Knowledge and experience with at least one other estimation methodology (e.g., estimate by comparison, Delphi estimates, component based estimate, story-point estimate)
  
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and hold others accountable for meeting commitments and obtaining results
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  
• Must be able to work in one of the following offices:  Basking Ridge, Hartford or Minneapolis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Function Points
  
• Experience defining software lifecycle processes
  
• Experience with IT measurements programs
  
• Healthcare industry experience
