Jax Plumber - Service Technician
Location:
Jacksonville, FL

SUMMARY
Partners with other Service Professionals, departments, external vendors, customers, and contractors in delivering effective and efficient plumbing services in accordance with Plumbing Code statutes. Performs general plumbing maintenance, repairs, and drain cleaning. Maintains invoice records on all services provided at a job site. Maintains company equipment and tools in accordance to the our Employee Manual.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following in addition to other duties that may be assigned:


1. Provides general plumbing and drain cleaning services for customers as
assigned by the Dispatcher.


2. Responsible for communicating all information to the dispatcher to include but not limited to: job arrival, estimated time to complete job,job completion, etc.


3. Follow company guidelines on all calls.


4. Needs to be proficient in diagnosing customer concerns and estimating
solutions using the price book, being able to obtain the customer's "go ahead" for closing.


5. Responds promptly and clearly too any questions, requests, or other customer issues. If it is necessary to resolve through the Field Manager or other channels in accordance with company-established procedure. At all times, he will be supportive of decisions, even though he may not personally be in agreement.


6. Rides along with a Field Manager periodically to ensure that he continues to follow company guidelines and performs work according to code.


7. Maintains clean, neat vehicles and projects a clean, well-groomed professional appearance at all times. Responsible for trucks, diagnostic cases and uniforms.


8. Attends group meetings and training, as needed. Participates in weekly,
monthly, and special company meetings, as appropriate.


9. Facilitates a cooperative and productive working relationship between the Dispatcher, Field Manager and other service coordination team members, as well as other areas of the company.

10. Works with the Field Manager to mutually establish performance
improvements and targets. Monitors his own performance levels and trains to achieve the optimum level available for his abilities. This includes company indicators, use of inspections, menu pricing, promotion of membership plans, hydro scrubbing, video inspection of lines, replacements, "bio-products", and other add-on services.


11. Uses good judgment and self-control in areas wherein the company entrusts him to maintain company and customer confidentiality. Responsible for maintaining all policy and procedures in accordance with the Employee Manual.


12. Sets an example in being punctual and dependable. Reports to work promptly. Responds immediately to dispatched calls during his "on-call" scheduling.


13. Perform other duties as assigned. This may include performing duties that are outside of the scope of normal job duties.


14. Establish a sound positive work relationship with the Field Manager. Must be able to listen and place into practical application all suggested feedback received from the Field Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one years applicable work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
