Position Summary:
To perform all types of maintenance on the facility, ie, rack repair, door repair, floor repair, painting etc., or as directed by a Maintenance Foreman, the Maintenance Supervisor or the Maintenance Manager. There are two Facilities Maintenance person at SYSCO Portland. The person in this position communicates frequently with Operations and Maintenance personnel. This job is performed anywhere on the premises.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
80% To perform maintenance tasks on and in the facility as directed by Supervision 15% To perform scheduled maintenance programs. 5% Documentation of all work performed.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Assist in other maintenance functions as needed Fill in as needed as strike contingency.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Basic experience in facility maintenance. Ability to work without supervision. Ability and knowledge to use shop equipment and power tools. Experience in the use of wire feed welders, stick welders and gas welders. Basic computer skills. Good communication skills.
EQUIPMENT USAGE/LICENSING REQUIRED :
Valid Oregon drivers license. Ability to get SYSCO equipment certified. Computer. Telephone. Shop equipment and power tools.
