PURPOSE: Provides medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital and in the out-patient clinics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Employee adheres to and follows the principles and service code of Charlotte Regional Medical Center's Commitment to Caring Contract and Code of Conduct. Provides skilled Physical Therapy services according to clinical services standards skillfully. Consistently uses good communication skills when interacting with other people. Demonstrates knowledge of specific age related differences in the application of physical therapy services. Develops effective treatment schedules to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency. Keeps current on clinical developments, state licensure, and regulations affecting provisions of physical therapy. May be required to assist the Physical Therapy Coordinator or Director of Rehab Services in coordinating department activity. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training: Completion of a two year specialized A.S. Degree program for Physical Therapist Assistants which has been approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Licensure, Certification and/or Registration: Licensed or eligible for license in the state of Florida.
Experience: No prior experience required.
