Sr. Systems Analyst, API
Our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, creative Sr. Analyst to support the design and delivery of enterprise resource APIs (Application Program Interfaces) as part of the Enterprise SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) platform. You'll be responsible for the analysis, definition and design of enterprise resource APIs supporting digital and technology initiatives as well as the definition and design of key SOA platform capabilities and processes. You should have experience in data modeling, process development, systems integration design as well as familiarity with web service/API platforms. You must be passionate about producing high quality solutions that meet or exceed user and business requirements and expectations.

Notes from Manager: they Need help with SOA platform documented, Goal is to help the team. You should be comfortable speaking to Developers and able to translate technical knowledge into clear information, have experience with documenting how systems work. Hiring manager is the only Analyst/Architect on the team, you will be working with developers and analyst on other teams. Prefers someone who is comfortable mentoring and educating and advocating for a technology space, you will be Rolling it out to IT teams. You should be comfortable with taking technical concepts into something you can take action on. Requirements elicitation and documentation experience required. User Documentation experience is a plus. Documenting system design and Restful APIs or Web Services experience is a plus. Web Service Design patterns experience a plus.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery: Gather, analyze, and document requirements to guide the design and development of enterprise resource APIs as well as the enterprise SOA platform.
Create detailed system, data and process design, architecture and end user documentation to support system implementation efforts.
Clearly define and communicate functional design specifications. Facilitate and collaborate on iterative solution design. Coordinate solution delivery activities across teams and vendors as required.
Coordination/Leadership: Effectively facilitates and negotiates through challenging situations. Interfaces across all organization levels comfortably with internal business customers, technical support resources, and external business partners. Leads and influences groups though effective decision making. Relates delivered designs and solutions to broader organization strategies and objectives

Summary of Experience
Experience with Restful APIs strongly preferred
Requirement elicitation and analysis experience - 7 years
Solution design, testing, and implementation experience - 7 years
End user support and documentation experience - 5 years
System integration or API experience 2 years
Skilled in the utilization of system development methodologies throughout the full project lifecycle.
Ability to identify/define viable technology solutions delivering required business capabilities.
Ability to develop clear, thorough functional design specifications that drive effective solution development. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to effectively utilize available tools and resources (internal and external) to resolve issues. Ability to work effectively in self-directed manner.
Strong oral and written communication skills enabling the persuasive presentation of proposed solutions.
Ability to collaborate and drive consensus across a diverse group of stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
