We are currently seeking a Web Designer to join our corporate team!

As the Web Designer, you will design and execute PetSmart creative ensuring the marketing objectives are met and that all projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Balancing creative thinking

with interpersonal skills, you will demonstrate an ability to justify concepts to both the project team and internal partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and execute strong compelling creative, driven by innovation and strategy, for digital channels including website (mobile and desktop) and email communications.
• Develop and present creative ideas based on input from creative and marketing teams.
• Execute brand consistently across all creative materials.
• Manage and adhere to established schedules, while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Manage multiple internal and external projects in deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with Project Coordinators and Copywriters who share project responsibilities.
• Build constructive and collaborative relationships to align support for business initiatives.
• Work with creative and marketing managers to execute concepts and strategies.
• Participate in and contribute ideas individually and in-group settings.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, corporate environment with a professional and positive attitude.
• Maintain knowledge related to industry trends and technologies for email & web design.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design, Interactive Design or equivalent education and experience.

• Possess strong problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Must be motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and team skills.
• Possess strong design aesthetics with type, color and page layout design.
• Web/mobile user interface and interaction design experience.
• Experience with UX, responsive design and information architecture.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other web scripting languages.
• Must possess an understanding of technical constraints of web, browsers & devices
• Fluent in Adobe CS6 (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator). Flash animation experience a plus.
• Maintain technical knowledge of file preparation and procedures.
• Experience working in an online retail environment a plus.
