A successful Sys Admin / Engineer will have:
- 4 year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Bachelor of Science preferred and 4+ years of professional enterprise development experience, master’s degree is preferred
- Management of Java (JVM) technologies – Tomcat, Software AG webMethods, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with AWS, Jenkins and other DevOps tools are all nice to haves
- Knowledge of virtualization technology and methods (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor, etc.)
- Working knowledge of load balancing and VIP concepts; (F5)
- Real world Linux experience with strong Linux command line skills

- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, documentation, administration and architecture of critical UNIX based systems in AWS, VMWare vCloud and on physical servers
- Working in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Taking your turn being on call – once every 6-8 weeks
