About this job

A Food Runner (Banquets) with Hilton Hotels and Resorts is responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and serviceware in order to provide cooks, buspersons and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests' dining experience. They will replenish food on hot and cold buffets and restocks all dishes and utensils as they are cleaned. They will also clean their physical surroundings and support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Food Runner, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and serviceware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

count out equipment needed

empty carts to bus area

service staff can carry out their functions

banquet(s) are provided

efficient operation

plates

food based upon consumption

standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor, to adhere to health
standards

accidents

can wash it

Restocks banquet department with appropriate
inventory. Cleans all serving vessels and replaces and sets for next day's
business

down boxes in the F&B areas, taking it to the dumpster located on the
loading dock

proper location

auto;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'* Transports food items to and from purchasing
area to second floor in order to replenish items as needed to ensure
consistency, freshness and rotation of products for the guest

auto;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'* Checks and controls amount of food items being
utilized and rotation in storage areas of prepared foods, maintaining freshness
and quality of product. Informs the manager if food does not meet Hilton's high
standards

and food items for second floor. Stores all requisition items in their proper
location

freshness

auto;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'* Performs other duties as requested, such as
moving supplies and equipment, and cleaning up spills, etc
