Discover is continuing to build a world class in house design agency named INCITE, and we are kicking off a search for a Lead Designer. This position requires beyond the brand creative thinking, ideation, leadership, concept development and functional expertise that is applied to the execution of marketing communications for assigned business lines. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes design, someone who has incredible design acumen and can generate award-wining concepts with little governance. Position requires one to be both brand and product knowledgeable with a solid understanding of Discovers brand structure while possessing the ability to provide Business Partners (our internal corporate clients) with fresh, high stopping power marketing communications that help to create customers, sell products/services and enhance a unified customer experience in and amongst all media tactics.Key Responsibilities:Creative DevelopmentPartner with and support to help manage ones Creative Team in the conception, development, refinement and execution of on strategy, on time, high stopping power creative that delivers on Creative Brief, BPs objectives and lives within the brand standards.Proactively seek information, clarification and business and product knowledge. Become an expert in your business line. Know your business objectives. Your target demographics and psychographics. Product benefits. Advantages. Unique selling points. Obstacles to sale. Competitive activities. Approach the work as if you owned the business (you do).Understand and execute to the Creative Brief; ask the right questions of BPs and Customer Insights to ensure you have all available advantageous information to craft your design communications.Be expert in your craft (design) and possess and apply a clear understanding of all advertising tactics both conventional and digital.Manage your time and produce consistently appropriate and effective communications under tight deadlines.Dont settle for the routine, stretch yourself by seeking fresh ways of communicating with appropriate wit and style. Find ways to present expected information in unexpected ways––thru novel concepts, copy and design.Craft concepts that enhance the brand and distinguish our products from the competitions and clearly convey our products advantages over the competition.Utilize your functional expertise and craft creative that is free of errors in fact, style or presentation.Be a solution provider. Identify challenges and recommend solutions.Welcome feedback and be professional and receptive to creative criticism and collaborative with BPs and help manage creative team members.Whenever warranted, move beyond your comfort zone. Pursue and participate in learning and skill development opportunities, including opportunities to occasionally work on project in other creative units or in special initiatives.Creative ManagementCollaborate openly, build upon the ideas/creative of team members and help manage and support Group Creative Director to push and share key information with colleagues and teams of other units.Ensure all your work is proofread and corrected prior to submittal to BPs.Ensure all creative files are set up accurately and to specifications.Comply with company/department requirements/policies.Collaborate openly, build upon the ideas/creative of team members and share key information with colleagues and teams of other units.Support your INCITE Creative Management team, your creative team and participate in all creative meetings including periodic INCITE Staff Meetings.Be able to present, defend and "sell" your work effectively to creative management and BPs.Be comfortable leading team at creative review and/or BP meetings.Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Bachelors degree required
Expert knowledge within the Adobe creative suite a must
Worked on integrated marketing/advertising campaign efforts from print to online
5 plus years experience in design/advertising role
