Responsible for oversight of payroll close processes and serves as auditor over items processed by Specialists I & II and HRIS Specialist. This position generally works 40 hours per week.
Oversees and processes the semi-monthly salaried and bi-weekly hourly payrolls to include:
* Import Pay Files from Time and Labor System
* Prepare and Load Miscellaneous General and Benefits Deduction Files
* Conduct pre-pay transmission audits and reasonableness tests to ensure accuracy
* Conduct post-pay audits to identify any potential pay day issues
Areas of audit include:
* Employee Tax Changes
* Employee Data Maintenance Changes
* New Hires
* Job Changes
* Compensation Changes
* Leaves of Absence
* Terminations
* Pay / Deduction Batches
* Off-Cycle Checks
Education: High School Graduate required. Associates Degree or relative certification preferred.
Required Skills / Experience
3 years Payroll processing functions for a medium to large sized multi-state organization. Intermediate skill in MS Word (must be proficient at mail merge) and Excel (including V-look-ups, pivot tables creating mathematical formulas and data manipulation).Testing will be given at a local agency for all MS Office products and general administrative office skills. ADP payforce knowledge required and knowledge of multi-state/local payroll tax law.
Preferred Skills / Experience
Experience with ADP PayForce highly desired but will consider a candidate with other ADP or relative system experience. FCP, CPP or similar certification strongly preferred.
Knowledge of international tax law is desirable.
