POSITION SUMMARY
Develop a strategic relationship with assigned clients, align Aetnas strategy with client objectives. Achieve membership growth and revenue targets for assigned accounts.
Fundamental Components:
Proactively promote and sell Aetna products and services to customers. Understand the competitive marketplace and proactively communicate with clients on industry trends and Aetnas response. Work effectively with internal matrix partners and account team members to respond to customer issues & concerns. Work with support areas to negotiate/manage performance guarantees. Negotiate contractual agreements between Aetna & clients, including financial terms. Proactively manage customer requests, jointly meeting clients needs and Aetna objectives. Advise clients on plan design, legislative developments and funding alternatives.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
Medical, Dental, Pharmacy & Behavioral Health product knowledge, risk and financial analysis skills, an understanding of sales and marketing processes, and knowledge of administrative operations are all expected for this position. The successful candidate should have proven financial aptitude. Strong selling, negotiation and presentation skills required.
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
