Welders-Flux core

Principle Duties:
Summary: Performs Fluxcore and mig welding operations so that product meets defined specifications as outlined on work orders, blueprints, layout drawings, etc. Makes appropriate decisions regarding materials to be used so that material use is maximized and scrap and waste are minimized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set-up and operate Mig & Flux Core welders
Designs and builds complete fixtures
Measure critical dimensions
Perform routine maintenance activities
Assemble complex parts to print; close tolerance
Builds complete fixtures
Maintain calibrated tools
Develop new methods to exceed estimated manufacturing run time

Required Competencies:
Experience in Fluxcore and Mig welding
Experience in precision welding a must
Ability to weld on all alloys
Blue Print Reading
Ability to use and read calipers, height gages, and micrometer
Ability to problem-solve complex issues
Maintain/exceed fusing rate of 1 inch per minute or using fill rod inch per minute
Experience fixture building
Knowledge of warpage, shrinkage, and part control
