RN - Surgical ICU (Full-time, Nights)

The RN is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of an assigned group of patients. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient's responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment. Multiple positions are available.

Basic Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2013 (Spectrum Health Grand Rapids) or February 1, 2013 (Spectrum Health United Hospital and Kelsey Hospital)

Experience - Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program

Licenses - Registered Nurse (RN)*All

Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR & BCLS)Grand Rapids within 90 Days

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

All must be completed by end of department orientation unless otherwise specified
