Maintenance Mechanic-Refrigeration - Full-time / Part-time

GENERAL SUMMARY
* The primary function of the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician is to provide continuous, safe and efficient operation of the refrigeration and support equipment and facility while maintaining appropriate production levels and specified standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
* Knowledge, Operation and Maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration system.
* Knowledge of Ammonia and Standard refrigerant safety and precautions.
* Knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic drives, actuators, vacuum systems, and all related controls and devices.
* Knowledgeable of Water treatment system as it pertains to Refrigeration system, Boilers and Waste Water Treatment.
* Able to predict and initiate preventative measures for the purpose of avoiding equipment failure and potential damage through evaluation of equipment history, experience and non invasive diagnostics.
* Knowledge, Operation and Maintenance of refrigeration controls System, Electronic and Mechanical.
* Works proficiently with little or no supervision.
* Proficient in the use of shop equipment, all standard mechanics hand and power tools.
* Read and understands detailed blue prints, electrical schematics or specification sheets.
* Proper use of mechanical, temperature, pressure, or electrical measuring devices.
* Thorough understanding of Sanitary and Food Safety Procedures and precautions, GMP's and HACCP.
* Ability and willingness to train lesser experienced co-workers.
* Proficient at lubrication of equipment with thorough understanding of requirements for a variety of devices and applications.
* A basic understanding of maintenance and installation of facility plumbing system, boilers, air compressors, and hydraulic system.
