Responsible for clinical quality improvement activities including analysis and documentation including specifically for performance improvement projects (PIPs). The primary tasks include collecting, compiling, organizing and analyzing data for related quality studies and projects, including HEDIS, PIPs and QOCs that will help impact health care strategies and health outcomes. Works with key departments to ensure engagement and consensus on evaluation of activities.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate, interpret and analyze data and/or business processes using proper statistical methods 

  • Prepare data analysis in the required format, including tables, charts and graphs with written summaries, conclusions and recommendations 

  • Ensure data integrity among internal groups and/or between internal and external sources 

  • Develop and implement effective analysis, research and evaluation of program metrics 

  • Develop, analyze and monitor new, routine and ad hoc reports using multiple data sources and systems 

  • Import, clean, change, validate and/or model data for reporting and decision making purposes 

  • Develop data collection protocol for data extraction, extrapolation, and 'mining' 

  • Participate in the research, design and implementation of studies, surveys and projects (including PIPs)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, IT, Data Management, or similar discipline 

  • 2+ years of clinical data experience including collecting, analyzing, and/or quality improvement projects or initiatives 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Access and Excel is a MUST 

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills 

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and presentation skills

Additional Preferred Assets:



  • Experience working in Medicaid and/or Medicare health care and insurance industry, including regulatory and compliance requirements 

  • Business Objects and/or Crystal reporting experience 

  • SQL and/or SAS experience 

  • Experience with Performance Improvement Projects (PIP)

  • Bilingual Skills (fluency in Spanish/English) 

  • Permanent residence in the state of Florida (South Florida highly preferred)
