Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/ Custodial Manager I for St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX a Malcolm Baldridege award winning company. Named among Nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, St. David's North Austin is a 332 bed full service hospital with a large Women's Services.
This is a 2nd shift positions and the hours are from 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM with some weekends and holidays required.
The Manager I will oversee 34 hospital employees on second shift and be required to participate in a rotational "on call" schedule including weekends/holidays. In this role, you will be responsible for the following (including but not limited to) quality assurance inspections, staff training, payroll, scheduling, rounding, patient / customer satisfaction, and safety audits.
The Ideal candidate will have previous experience in an environmental services or food service account and be able to train, mentor, and motivate hourly staff. Employee engagement and patient satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.
Seeking bi-lingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish will assist in managing this workforce. Managing this workforce in a fast paced environment will require the candidate not only lead the team in their daily work, but be willing to be hands on with the frontline staff in order to accomplish multiple everyday tasks.
Position Summary
Supervises hourly staff providing custodial service to client. Responsible for work force planning, Quality Assurance training and administrative functions for designated area. Typically reports to General Manager or Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
