About this job

This position will register patients. Verifies insurance and collects pertinent patient information and data. Collects, deductibles, co-pays and flat rates.

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent and;

1. Minimum of 12 months clerical experience.

2. Proficiency in Microsoft products, database management and entry and internet usage.

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

4. 40 WPM typing speed required (qualified applicants will be required to provide a typing certificate).

Preferred Training/Education/Experience/Certification:

1. Six months customer service experience in one of the following fields: medical insurance, financial industry and/or medical industry.

2. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification practices.

3. One year admitting/registration experience in a medically related organization.
