Teller

The teller accepts and accurately processes various financial transactions, such as checking and savings deposits, various loan payments and Redemption of Bonds, negotiable instruments, collectors coins, encashment of checks and withdrawals from savings accounts, processing debit and credit entries, and other miscellaneous cash and check handling for customers, in compliance with established bank policies and procedures. The teller provides excellent service to all bank customers handles routine customer inquiries and refers more complex inquiries and potential new customers to the appropriate bank officer or sales associate. The teller position requires the ability to settle each transaction with minimal errors, the ability to scan batches of work an electronic remittance application and that the candidate have the ability to accurately maintain an audit trail, be able to locate errors when required and balance a cash drawer each day.

Qualifications

Tellers must have a basic understanding of all bank products and services, understand how to assist the customers with debit card and online banking inquiries and support all other branch functions to ensure compliance with all relative company and State and Federal regulations.
High School Graduate or GED. A minimum of 1 year of teller or related cash handling experience. Demonstrated ability for close attention to detail, excellent customer service skills. Must be flexible and adaptable to meet scheduling requirements. Must have ability to identify and recognize sales opportunities.
Ability to speak a foreign language a plus. Good communication / interpersonal / computation skills. Proven ability to work in a fast paced, customer facing team environment.
This position is full time flex, schedule of 30-39 hours per week.
Candidate must have open availability Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am- 6:30pm and Saturday 8am- 2pm.
