Reporting to the VP of the Finance Shared Services Center, this role offers a rare opportunity to bring new leadership to an established, successful team. We seek a strong people manager who can drive quality and excellence.
SUMMARY
The successful candidate will bring a balance of strong AR abilities and a strong people management skill set. We seek a solid leader known for building and cultivating strong teams. Lead a team of 4 staff members in our North Andover Shared Services site, working inter-departmentally with all functions of the accounting department including, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Payroll.
Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Regularly communicate with field offices and operating group management
Oversee integration of newly acquired partners and newly opened programs into the Billing/AR process and software
Participate in the implementation of the new Billing/AR internal policies and procedures
Roll out new federal, state or local billing requirements; train field and service center staff on new processes
Review, understand and modify, as necessary, internal controls for the Billing/AR process
Develop improvement opportunities in order to reduce AR balance and DSO
Develop ad-hoc reports as needed
Prepare monthly informational Billing/AR reports and analyses for operating group and corporate management
Document specifications for, and tests customizations made by, the software vendor . Lead testing process for periodic software updates
Responsible for budget management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and supervise assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training
Make decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions
Collaborate with HR resources to address and resolve employee issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
- Five years’ experience in medical billing/Accounts Receivable with minimum of two years' experience in supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success with effectively managing a diverse team
- Self-motivated with solution-orientation
- Superb attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Versatility is a key success factor: the ability to move between the overall strategy and the day-to-day tactical needs is a must.
