Essential to Shipping and Receiving Position Preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards Operating fork lift trucks to move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas Directly responsible for unpacking, examining and routing incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and corresponding with shipper to rectify damages and shortages, returning goods for replacement or credit Keen ability to perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods, keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times Championing the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
