Revenue Integrity Cerner Analyst would report to the EHR Director Revenue Cycle. Qualified candidate will have understanding of clinical modules in Cerner that affect Revenue. Assist the EHR director in development of a monitoring tool to measure the Revenue Integrity impact of Cerner implementation after the go-live. Escalates Charge capture related risks and opportunities to the Oputm 360 EHR Director. Partners with Optum 360 Revenue Cycle, Cerner and Facility workgroups, working across EHR initiatives to identify interdependencies and opportunities for collaboration.


 


Primary Responsibilities:





  • Knowledge of patient financials in Cerner



  • Knowledge of full claims processing & adjudication



  • Knowledge of CMS/Medicare and , Medi-Cal guidelines



  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and reimbursement methodologies



  • Understanding of all factors that impact AR days and key strategies to minimize impact



  • Completes assigned work for applicable systems are updated to allow for capture and appropriate billing of ICD 10 codes and that Revenue Cycle staff are prepared for the workflow implications



  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and highly analytical with the ability to meet deadlines



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Access)



  • Execute related ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:





  • 2+ years of full cycle revenue cycle experience within a large hospital system



  • 2+ years of  experience with Cerner and/or Medtech and/or EPIC



  • 1+ years of Project Management experience



  • Ability to identify and document process improvements



  • Work with Hospital facility team and project teams to help redefine workflow processes



  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)



  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a cross-functional matrix environment



  • Ability to develop work process flows with ability to drive timelines and meet tight deadlines



  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities



  • Ability to travel 25% of the time


 


Preferred Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Informatics



  • Cerner PowerChart knowledge



  • Knowledge of  CMS/Medicare and , Medi-Cal guidelines



  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and reimbursement methodologies



  • Knowledge of full claims processing & adjudication



  • Experience with Cerner Charge Services



  • Cerner Revenue Cycle experience



  • ICD-9 and 10
