We are seeking a Electrical & Control Technician to join our fast-paced team-focused staff in our unionized manufacturing facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Will be required to perform all job requirements and meet all qualifications as determined by management for an Electrical and Controls Technician. Must have a current State of Michigan Journeyman Electricians License. Perform duties under the general direction of the Controls Manager, but works independently to perform installation, troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and/or design modification of high-tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems for the Fremont Plant. This entails optimizing system designs, maintenance and operations processes; satisfying all safety concerns. Position makes decisions based upon sound maintenance practices and business needs assessment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing. Performs preventative and predictive maintenance and routine inspections Specifies, organizes and maintains adequate spare parts and modules for control and instrumentation systems. Tunes PID loops Maintains plant documentation in accordance with management of change procedures. Network and Communications maintenance, improvement and troubleshooting Basic Computer Hardware, Operating System and Software troubleshooting Power Distribution system Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Improvement

Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

A current State of Michigan Journeyman Electricians License Preferred. Minimum 3 years of control experience, PLC, and VFD experience. High School Diploma or GED required as well as other training.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred.

Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. PLC systems Electrical and electronic circuits (480V and below) Field devices (instruments, I/O, Field Networks, VFD's, Valves, Pumps ....)
