Nursing Transformational Director - Nurse Manager

In the newly created position of Nursing Transformational Director - Nurse Manager, you will serve as an interim leader for management vacancies, assist new leaders as they assimilate to their new roles and coach, mentor and lead projects. Responsibilities will include:
Planning, organizing, staffing, directing and ensuring collaborative multidisciplinary patient care delivery
Managing performance by providing coaching, direction and supervision
Recruiting, developing, counseling, evaluating and retaining staff
Directing the planning and implementation of department education/training, which promotes professional competence, personal growth and optimal patient care
Serving as a clinical resource
Developing and monitoring operating and capital budgets for designated area/unit to ensure financial performance and profitability
Assuming responsibility for labor, supply, equipment control and cost containment
Directing all quality monitoring, focusing on optimal patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk management and continuous quality and process improvement
Developing departmental standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols
Assessing and evaluating patient care utilizing evidence-based practice
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Current RN license to practice in the State of Ohio
A minimum of two years of recent and relevant clinical experience
Demonstrated ability to assess, develop and mentor a patient care team
Effective leadership and management abilities/potential
The ability to be a change leader and stabilizer for staff
A high comfort level with project planning (may involve projects such as increasing patient satisfaction or quality and safety of care)
Professional certification preferred
