Job Description

Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for a dynamic Account Executive to manage and grow our Marine and Cruise Line Business portfolio from our branch office in Miami, FL as part of our Building Automation Service Sales group. The primary responsibility of the Account Executive is to achieve booking and gross margin goals by developing and implementing plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers for Cruise Lines that are headquartered in Florida. As the sales leader of the team they are expected to effectively qualify, develop, and secure the most sophisticated deals within our established guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

* Develops new business relationships with End-User Clients to position and create a business case to utilize Siemens Building Technologies solutions on their ships. Possesses the skills to communicate the impact to the customer's business objectives by utilizing Siemens solutions. Typical End-User decision-makers contacted include C-Level executives, VP of Operations, and Directors of Energy; Ship Managers and Superintendents; Ships staff (including Chief Engineer, Chief Refrigeration Officer and Chief Electrical Engineer responsible to maintain/expand these relationships within assigned, existing client accounts as well as create new customer relationships. Acts as a Trusted Advisor to customers across their enterprises. This position will focus exclusively on the cruise line business and associated maritime businesses

* Typical Siemens solutions offered by the cruise line team include individual or bundled elements of Automation systems, PLCs, Controls systems modernization / upgrades, Integration to other 3rd party systems, electrical distribution upgrades, ventilation systems enhancements, and (non-propulsion / generation) energy conservation measure implementation.

* Creates and implements strategic sales strategies to successfully position Siemens to secure targeted projects and services agreements in a competitive environment.

* Effectively performs needs assessments, leads project development, develops sales proposals, creates estimates, and conducts presentations. Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.

* Follows through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensures a smooth sales-to-operations turnover and monitors progress. Assists in resolving installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.

* Assists customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly.

* Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports and expense tracking.

* Participates in civic and professional organizations to build a network of contacts to advance achievement of sales targets.

* Actively participates in sales department meetings, workshops and seminars. Keeps current on market business and product trends. Continues to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.

* When managing current accounts, develops and deploys account management strategies and prepares annual technology roadmap for clients.

* Team sells with other Division partners when appropriate to bundle solutions and expand Siemens participation in opportunities. Other solutions typically bundled include Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, and other Siemens products.

* Develops and builds long-term relationships.

* Expand the value of assigned accounts for all SBT offerings.

* Drives/coordinates new business across all product lines to meet objectives. Focus on customer retention and satisfaction/loyalty.

Qualifications include:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or a similar field, although a combination of education (HS Diploma a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered.

* At least 6 years of directly related HVAC Controls Service Sales experience strongly preferred, although candidates with less than 6 years' experience of directly related industry sales experience (industrial automation) OR candidates with 6+ years' experience in a the maritime industry selling to end-user / owners reps will also be considered.

* Requires technical and financial expertise to effectively and independently estimate and sell solutions and service offerings.

* Experience with some of the specific products used in our solutions would be extremely desired. These include: Siemens European Building Automation Systems (BAS) Desigo Insight (up to version 5.1); X-Works software programming, PX Controllers, Siemens Integral products, and Simatic PLC products (S5, S7-XXXX).

* Related professional certifications preferred.

* Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Driver's License in good standing, and must meet eligibility requirements to participate in the required Siemens Vehicle Plan.

* Must be willing and able to travel outside the United States. Expect 50% travel in the Caribbean, Latin America, and on occasion Europe.

* Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
