Under the direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor, Leadworker or other qualified crewmember, the Caltrans Landscape Maintenance Worker performs miscellaneous labor while performing associated with maintaining the landscaping within the State Right of Way. May be loaned to other cost centers. This position is represented under collective bargaining.
This position is subject to the post and bid process. Other methods of appointment will be considered only in the event there are no bidders.
A valid Class C Drivers is required. You must pass a medical exam and drug screening prior to be hired.
All methods of appointment will be considered (e.g. list appointment, transfer, re-instatement, surplus, SROA, re-employment, Training & Development assignment, etc.). All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the classification in order to be eligible for appointment to the position.
