SR Accountant - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a SR Accountant.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Experis Finance is hiring for a Senior Accountant in the Souderton PA. This is a highly visible position with an opportunity to go contract to hire.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial information and reporting. This position follows tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities in a constantly changing environment including general ledger preparation, account reconciliations, financial reporting, internal control compliance, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The position will have contact with senior-level positions which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Accountabilities:

• Obtain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure for business lines (primarily Business Planning and Control System BPCS as well as SAP).
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close with a focus on the account reconciliation process.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external personnel.
• Suggests enhancements to process efficiencies and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain and improve internal control procedures compliance including SOX process ownership and testing.
• Assist with financial statement audit activities.

Required:

• BA in Accounting
• 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience preferably in public accounting or for a major company or division of a large corporation
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Advanced Excel ( pivot tables and V look ups)

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant ( CPA) or Certified Management Accountant ( CMA) designations
• SAP,
• AS400
