Mortgage Loan Origination Specialist

We are currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Origination Specialist to perform a variety of activities to maximize the recovery of losses through the timely and accurate filing of mortgage insurance and investor claims. Essential Functions 1. Retrieve and assemble back up documents for claim packages 2. Prepare claim forms with allowable charges 3. Photocopies, files and mails/transmits final claims 4. Follow up on claim payment status 5. Prepare claim payment reconciliation to ensure full payment is received 6. Submit supplemental claims on non-paid allowable charges 7. Update the system with pending, submitted, withdrawn and paid claim information 8. Confirm claim information has been stored in docuware General Skills & Abilities 1. Accounting background. 2. Knowledge of delinquent mortgage servicing procedures and standard industry practices. 3. Proficient knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 4. Ability to learn and operate in-house computer systems and a variety of vendor software applications. 5. Skill to type 50 words per minute. Minimum Qualifications 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Prior mortgage loan origination experience 3. Able to pass a 7 year background check
