The Finance MAP Program is designed to give associates the necessary tools, early in their careers, to manage their professional development, realize their potential, and maximize their contributions to Bank of America.

Overview:

The Finance Management Associate Program (FMAP) is a two-year Associate Development program that focuses on Corporate Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Treasury functions within Bank of America. The FMAP program provides associates with the opportunity to move through two rotational assignments within the Chief Finance Officer's organization. This rotational process helps associates develop a solid knowledge base of the functional areas of the CFO Group and a broad range of skills. Finance MAP associates participate in a variety of activities designed to foster teamwork, encourage networking, and demonstrate Bank of America's vision and culture. You will participate in FMAP events and networking activities, and will be encouraged to further develop leadership skills by leading projects or committees.

Through your 2 one-year rotations, you will participate in a Business and Corporate support role. FMAP roles may support one or more of the following:

Analysis and reporting of on-going operations

Forecasting financial and non-financial trends

Developing models and performing financial analysis of business investments

Supporting the corporation's internal planning and management accounting functions

Preparing external reports for shareholders and regulatory authorities

Providing guidance on accounting policy issues

Enterprise Description: Finance MAPs is a 2 year Associate Development program. This job code is intended to be used as the first step in the program progression. An associate will typically remain in this job code for 4 months. During this time the associate will participate in structured training sessions. Job responsibility will steadily increase. The rotational responsibilities include moderately complex financial activities involving routine financial reporting, profitability analysis and forecasting (complexity increases throughout program). Associates are also responsible for activities involving corporate reporting, accounting policy, planning & analysis or regulatory reporting (complexity increases throughout program). Qualifications include maintaining a customer-focus while meeting quality standards for timeliness and accuracy, and the associate must be able to work independently and in groups. Associate may occasionally lead small projects under the direction of a senior associate. Associates may be called upon occasionally to act as a team leader.

Training:

The Finance MAP training curriculum is comprehensive and offers a blend of classroom and web-based training, which complements the hands-on experience that the MAP associates develop in their rotational assignments. The training curriculum is geared for professionals with courses offered in three main areas: technical training, business acumen, and behavioral courses.

Qualifications:

We hire an elite group of new associates who have degrees in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a minimum 3.2 grade point average. Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between December 2015 and June 2016. Strong academics and technical skills should be accompanied by proficiencies in critical thinking, leadership, business acumen, and relationship building.
