Before and After School Child Care Positions Available

Bar-T Kids Club, a leader in school age child care in Montgomery County, Maryland is seeking qualified individuals to work in our before and after care programs.  Our staff are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children, and we are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic person to join our child care team. This team member will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate environment for the children in their group, and for creating programming that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of children in their care. The successful candidate will work closely with the on-site Director to ensure their program provides choices that meet the individual needs of the children in their programs as well as the families and school community.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Morning Shifts and/or Afternoon Shifts available

Aide day to day job duties:

• Assist in setting up snack

• Assist in running a groups

• Follow schedule, work hands-on with children

• Assist with the implementation of Chat-Time/Team Time

• Hands on with the children at all times

Qualifications:

• 16 years old

• Health and Safety training - within first 3 months

• First Aid and CPR certifications - within first 3 months

Job Requirements:

• Pass MSDE approved background check

• Pass drug test upon hire and random testing

• Complete MSDE medical with no restrictions

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs

• Have reliable transportation to the assigned shift

• Actively participate in the physical set-up and breakdown of the center each shift-including but not limited to:

• Lift a minimum of 25 lbs

• Move furniture/equipment carts to and from storage area

Job Duties:

• Create and implement age appropriate clubs, theme days and group games

• Assist and supervise all children at all times

• Maintain center according to MSDE OCC regulations and company policies and procedures

• Communicate effectively with all customers, supervisors and office personnel

• Present a positive and professional image

• Engage with children at all times
