In alignment with Total Rewards and Benefits strategies, the Senior Director, Benefits Administration plays a lead role in the administration and implementation of benefits programs.
Positions in this function are responsible for design, communication and administration of enterprise-wide health and welfare, and retirement and savings benefit programs in a heavily outsourced environment. Manages vendors, open enrollment, the annual calendar, and ensures programs are fiscally sound and documentation meets legally required standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar field or combination of education and/or relevant experience
10 or more years of increasing responsibility in health & wellness benefits plan design and strategy and/or benefits administration with at least three of these years in a leadership capacity in a complex/large employer setting
Strong business analysis including familiarity with benefits administration systems, enrollment systems and other HRIS systems
Track record of maintaining effective working relationships and influencing others at all levels of the organization
3 or more years of experience as a people manager able to develop, grow, motivate, and mentor staff to perform at their best
5 or more years of experience in all areas of benefits compliance including PPACA, ADA, IRC Section 125, HIPAA, ERISA and COBRA
3 or more years of experience managing partner/vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost effectiveness
Excellent project management, interpersonal, verbal & written communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to resolve issues and influence in a team-based environment as well as the ability to work independently
Demonstrated experience balancing multiple priorities, performing detailed and accurate work, and meeting established deadlines
Knowledge of benefits accounting and financial business proficiency
Proficiency in data analysis tools including Excel
