Position Description

This position implements loss prevention and safety programs, overseeing and coordinating processes to minimize loss while maintaining a safe working and shopping environment. In addition, this position will train and provide mentorship around safety and loss prevention for teams of individual contributors in multiple store locations. An individual in this position may on occasion need to respond to potentially violent and/or physical altercations and will therefore need the ability to make quick, effective decisions and maintain an appropriate level of composure. Also required to audit review safety reports, conduct inspections to maintain compliance with OSHA and corporate policy safety guidelines and policies (HazMat, local and regional compliance, etc.)

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work experience (i.e., retail or loss prevention) OR Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or related loss prevention field.

National certified training program (Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training).

Professional accreditation, such as LPQ, LPC, or equivalent experience desired.

2 years of experience directly or indirectly supervising employees including coaching, mentoring, directing, training, performance management, and recognition.

2 years of experience as a Manager in a retail environment.

1 year of experience conducting quality reviews/audits.

Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (P&L, exception reports, etc.).

Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations (has conducted multiple retail investigations).

Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.).
