About this job
We are a manufacturer of wooden interior plantation shutters in Alpharetta Georgia. Currently we are searching for help in our factory. This shutter company is stable and has been in business for over 25 years. Production works four, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM. We are looking for people with the following skill sets:
Finish repair:
Fix and sand small defects in a shutter. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
Painter:
Spray paint shutters. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
Framer:
Ability to read production documents, read a tape measure to the 1/16" increments. Familiar with miter saw as well as table saws. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
Hinger:
Ability to read production documents, read a tape measure to the 1/16" increments. Familiar with drills and screw guns. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
Custom Work:
Ability to read production documents, read a tape measure to the 1/32" increments. Must have a good grasp of geometrical math and have feel for finish of wood. Familiar with miter saw, drills, belt sanders, band saws, screw guns as well as table saws. If this person has the mathematical aptitude and eye for detail but not the experience, we will train for the position. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
Mill Work:
Ability to read production documents, read a tape measure to the 1/32" increments, read calipers to 0.001". Must have a machinist mentality for accuracy. Familiar with Moulders (machinery that makes trim), moulder knife grinder knives that make trim), gang rip saws, band saws, as well as table saws. If this person has the mechanical aptitude but not the experience, we will train for the position. Must be able to stand for long periods and be flexible to work in other departments.
