A Senior Research Scientist is needed for a contract opportunity with our client located in Duluth, GA.


The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:



    - Analytical methods and testing
    - HPLC, LC-MS, UV
    - GMP

What You'll Be Doing:



    - Responsible for advanced analytical method development for characterization of starting materials, in-process materials, and finished materials used in the research, synthesis, and formulation of novel contact lens materials and solutions. The scientist's primary analytical expertise is chromatographic method development and method validation
    - The scientist designs experiments/develops methods with minimal supervision
    - Develops methods to solve large and small molecule characterization challenges and collects data to support contact lens and contact lens solutions research
    - Validates chromatographic methods to support preclinical testing for contact lens clinical studies
    - Demonstrates strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with scientists and material researchers across multiple functions to further materials and solutions research projects
    - Rigorous application of the scientific method to strategic research targets
    - Timely achievement and effective communication of results and conclusions
    - Effective collaboration with cross functional team members, including other sites
    - Compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety requirements

What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - A Master's Degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or immunology, and a minimum of eight to eleven (5-8) years of related experience in life sciences research, or a Bachelor's Degree with life sciences major and a minimum of (8-10) years related biomedical research and development experience could also be appropriate
    - Must have hand-on experience with HPLC, LC-MS and cell base potency assays development, validation, and implementation
