Position Description:
This position is located in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Sr. Technical Analyst works very closely with the IT Manager in designing, engineering, building, configuring, and supporting the server and LAN environment for the Global Sales and Customer Care center in Salt Lake City. The server environment is mostly comprised of VM Ware ESXi hosts, with multiple Windows Server VM's. This position also helps to provide access to, and/or restricts access from, appropriate data shares. It also, works with the EMC networker and Data Domain environments to ensure the appropriate data is backed up and replicated as designed. Any alarms or errors are to be investigated, troubleshot and corrected following industry and Marriott IT best practices.
In addition to the Server environment, this position provides escalated IT support for the operations based at the contact center in Salt Lake City, UT. This position also provides remote IT support as needed at the other contact centers in North America, Europe and Asia. In providing this IT support, this position will work closely with other IT team members here in Salt Lake City, plus those team members based in Omaha, Nebraska, the other contact centers, and the Corporate IT groups. This support will require being a part of a rotating on call after hour support schedule.
This position is also responsible for evaluating and analyzing emerging technology and to make recommendations to IT management on the best course of action for Marriott to sustain its competitive advantage in engagement center operations.

Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience supporting desktop, server and network technologies
5+ years' experience with computer hardware and Windows operating systems, along with 5+ years' experience troubleshooting and supporting of those environments.
5+ years technical experience working with Microsoft Servers, shares, NTFS permissions, Active Directory and associated security.
3+ years IT experience managing a VM Ware are ESXi server virtualized environment.
Experience working with shared server storage, specifically EMC SAN a plus.
Experience with disk based, deduped and replicated backup environments, specifically EMC Data Domain a plus.
Knowledge of data networking, vlan, Wi-Fi, and switch port configuration a plus.
Previous experience installing and upgrading server, desktop, and network hardware/software a plus.
Contact center operations experience a plus
Four year college degree preferred
