Time Warner Cable Media Sales currently seeks a Small Business Sales Specialist for our Austin, TX Media sales market.

Time Warner Cable Media Sales (TWCMS) is the advertising sales division of Time Warner Cable providing marketers and agencies with innovative advertising solutions that are targeted and affordable. Together we work with our partners to customize an advertising schedule that works for their unique business to help achieve their marketing goals. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position

Essential Job Functions:
Sells and Services advertising for Small Business Accounts in a given geography or marketThis is an INSIDE SALES position—must be comfortable making a high volume of sales over the phoneFocuses on selling and servicing accounts and helping TWC Media profitably grow the small business segmentFocuses on maximizing profitability of accounts in the segment, with an eye towards efficient service and support of small business clients (and other similar sized accounts)Includes conducting most business electronically or via email and phoneHandles periodic (for instance quarterly) face to face client interactionsUtilizes small business and specialty proposals and schedule templates to sell and service accountsResponsible to champion small business segment with other departments to help them service the customers more profitablyHelp TWC Media grow the small business segment of our customer baseComplete appropriate sales activity reports and forecasts as requiredResponsible for meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly goals based on efficiency, metrics and proper employment of small business supportPrepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers to drive new business as well as protect and increase existing advertising Essential Job Competencies:

Market and Job Knowledge Understands the nuances of local small businesses and how to help them attract customers using linear and digital advertising solutionsDevelops and maintains a full understanding of how to balance cost of sale implications of support while meeting client needsUnderstands or quickly develops understanding of the costs associated with the operations, production, client solutions and other aspects of our support structure.Understands consumer research. Able to analyze, synthesize and communicate it to the client.Understanding of the competition in the marketplace
Digital Understands how digital inventory is transactedKnows how digital platforms work togetherMarket knowledge of online and digital marketplace:Ability to explain complex digital media features in simple terms
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent communication and organizational skills required and ability to work independently and in a team environment.Must be computer proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of advertising sales software preferredExperience selling over the phone in an INSIDE SALES role.
