Once you have compiled such information, explanations and resolutions, you must compose complete and accurate responses to that correspondence. Correspondence Specialists work together as a team, and often rely on one another for information or direction as to how to resolve issues. While each specialist has an assigned team lead, there are generally multiple members of the management team available if assistance is needed. Key Accountabilities  Responds to written inquiries, requests for information, disputes, and general complaints received from borrowers in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.  Investigates and resolves a variety of issues, including problems related to escrow, fees and charges assessed to loan, account balance and payment application, and Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) information.  Reconciles payment histories for missing or mis-posted payments.  Writes response letters to borrowers in a professional, accurate and courteous manner, including copies of requested documents.  Records pertinent information and action taken in response to borrower's dispute or inquiry in the loan record maintained in loan servicing system. Required Qualifications  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook  Must have excellent business writing, grammar and spelling skills  Skill to type 50 words per minute Experience in Mortgage Servicing a plus!
