Certified Nursing Assistant-Private Duty - Full-time / Part-time

Genesis SelectCare is looking for remarkable Certified Nursing Assistants for Private Duty. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various resident care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. All duties and tasks are delegated by and performed under the direction of a licensed nurse and may not exceed Standards of Practice as accorded by Certification. * Handles and serves customers in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. * Perform all duties in accordance with established methods, techniques and recognized standards * Provides maximum customer care services within limits defined by delegated tasks * Bathes the customer in bed, tub or shower, combs hair, cleans fingernails and gives shampoos * Dresses and undresses customer, provides mouth care and denture care * Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds * Positions customers in correct body alignment in and out of bed * Assists the customers in and out of bed, in walking and transports customers throughout a residence via wheelchair * Accompanies customers when transported for appointments as needed * Participates in the follow through of the Customer Service Plan * Takes and records weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and respirations * Applies simple clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages, under director of the licensed nurse * Feeds customers, assists all customers with their meals and provides in between nourishment, as well as providing fresh ice and water to the customer's bedside as directed - Completes record of customer's oral intake and output - Answers customer's needs, delivers messages, administers bedpans and urinals, cleans areas of spillage or accidents caused by the customer - Performs isolation care as needed for customer's condition - Reports any/all changes in customer's condition, any family concerns and customer's complaints to SelectCare Manager/responsible party - Collects and bags soiled linen and delivers to dirty linen area; if assigned, washes and dries items in domestic washer/drier - Obtains clean linens and supplies as directed - Complete light housekeeping as directed - Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights - Assists with treatments and vitals, as necessary - Performs other duties as requested ACN1

Qualifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA Requirements: -Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma preferred -Ability to read, write and understand the English language is mandatory -Must be Maryland Board Certified Nursing Assistant -Must have 6 months to 1 year current experience as a CNA -Must have current CPR certification For more information please contact Sharon Wilson at 410-494-8562 or sharon.wilson@genesishcc.com
