Dog Sitter (Flexible Hours) - Full-time / Part-time

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• If pet-sitting in your own home, you'll be home full-time (not absent for more than 4 hours)

• If pet-sitting in someone else's home, you can provide overnight care

• Able to undergo a background check and home certification

• Reliable internet access at home or via mobile device

• Verifiable phone number (landline or mobile)

• Experience caring for or interacting with animals

• An entrepreneurial spirit

• At least one testimonial or reference

What you do:

Approved sitters will be connected to our network of dog owners seeking loving dog sitters. Sitters receive requests through the site. Plus, when pet parents in your area call Rover Premier looking for the perfect sitter, we'll direct them to you—a benefit exclusive to Rover Premier. Rover’s system allows you to easily book stays and receive premium pet insurance, at no cost. Your earnings go directly to your Rover account. From there, simply request a check or transfer your money to a Paypal account.

Rover sitters come from a variety of backgrounds. If you work from home or you're a student, recent grad, seasonal worker, or contract worker--or you're just looking to supplement your income--Rover could be a great fit for you. Previous employment experience as a vet tech, vet assistant, or in any pet care field is a plus. Experience in the customer service industry such as the restaurant industry (including barista, bartender, server, waiter/waitress), hospitality, sales, and retail is also a plus. But of course, nothing is more important than a deep love of dogs.
